At the beginning of my analysis of this song, I was quite confident that the woman in this song as hard she she worked on herself, and fought through and followed her dreams the struggle ended with missing someone. At the end of every verse I was certain she was speaking to the man that she loved. In my current personal life I thought this reigned true for me. Single mom, working a few jobs, raising a child, full time student, trying to find happiness. A man must be missing, because I can't do it all alone. WELL, through the journey of writing and listening I have learned that "WHAT CHA' GONNA DO FOR ME" in THIS woman's analysis has everything to do with what we can do for ourselves. The answer is simple, we can do it all. With self love, self care and self esteem the world can be just whatever we choose it to be.
