"The crown that you lose
Exploiting the blues
Won't get the job done
As hard as it bites
I'm keepin my sight on you"
Ethos! Yes we are talking about experience here. It is clear that we can get down, and as mentioned in last post we give much fight to our struggle as women. HOWEVER, feeling this verse we can easily be reminded that our fight or struggle is a place to learn and grow. As difficult as it is to learn from our mistakes it is critical stage in our growth. In this verse we are reminded of her personal experience in not letting the difficult time sway you for your accomplishments. These victories should be shared, celebrated and remembered as who we are, and where we came from. Staying in a positive place is the encouragement and example of this verse. Chaka voices and the music behind is giving praise to the reputation we all want to create in staying in the present and keeping a positive power to our selves.
